What is Budget4?

A savings goal calculator built around your monthly cash flow.

Budget4 is a free savings goal planner that estimates when a large purchase or financial target becomes affordable.

It starts from the amount you choose to make available, then combines your regular income, expenses and optional future events into a month-by-month projection.

Simple by design

From a goal to a date in three steps

No spreadsheet and no financial jargon. Start with a normal month and refine only when it helps.

  1. 01

    Describe your goal

Enter what you need and how much of your current money you want to consider available.

  2. 02

    Add a normal month

Use your usual income and expenses. Add bonuses or annual bills later if you need them.

  3. 03

    Explore your path

See the target date, monthly liquidity and how small What-if changes affect the outcome.

More useful than a single number

A plan you can actually inspect

Budget4 simulates your balance month by month, so irregular events and difficult periods stay visible.

Build your plan

A concrete target date

Replace a vague “someday” with the month and year your projected balance reaches the goal.

Your monthly path

Inspect the balance timeline and spot the first month in which liquidity could become negative.

Changes without commitment

Compare saving, earning or starting with more before applying anything to your original plan.

Events that reflect real life

Include one-time, monthly and annual income or expenses without turning the page into a spreadsheet.

How the date is calculated

A deterministic month-by-month simulation.

Each simulated month starts from the previous balance, adds regular and exceptional income, subtracts regular and exceptional expenses, and checks whether the resulting balance has reached your goal.

A concrete example

A €12,000 car feels different with a date attached.

Start with €3,000 and a normal monthly increase of €450. Budget4 projects the balance month by month and shows the first month the goal is covered.

Add annual insurance or compare saving €100 more: both plans are recalculated with the same monthly engine.

Questions, answered

Before you start

Is Budget4 financial advice?

No. Budget4 is a planning tool based on the values you enter. It does not account for every real-world risk and does not replace professional financial advice.

What should I include as my starting amount?

Enter only the amount you genuinely want to make available for this goal. You can leave out savings you want to keep as a reserve.

Can I include annual bills or one-time income?

Yes. After the first result, refine the plan with monthly, annual or one-time income and expense events.

Does Budget4 save my financial data?

No. The MVP uses your inputs to calculate the result on the backend but does not persist them in a database.

Does the projection include inflation or investment returns?

No. The MVP deliberately uses a deterministic monthly cash-flow simulation without inflation or investment-return assumptions.

Give your goal a timeline

One goal. Four inputs. One clearer next step.

Start with the month you know. You can add the messy details after your first result.
